Professional Member – PMJJi

Professional Member status can only be achieved if you fulfil both the experience and education requirements as follows:

  • Experience: A minimum of five years’ full time or eight years’ continuous part time work experience working with Children/Juveniles, this can be salaried or community / voluntary based experience at a supervisory level.
  • Qualifications: Internationally, qualifications differ, however we expect members to have as a minimum a University Degree (BA, Bsc) or one of the following; a National Vocational Qualification Level 5, a European Union Level 5 qualification or an equivalent or higher qualification. The qualification must be aligned to working for, or with Children/Juveniles eg; Juvenile Justice, Youth Justice, Social Work, Community Work, Youth Work, Correctional Services, Police Service, Prison Service, Teaching, Teaching Assistant, Psychology related qualifications.
