Victims of Crime Services
We work with those who have been victims of many crimes including violence, hate crime, murder, attempted murder, sexual exploitation, human trafficking, radicalisation and extremism, drug related crimes, gambling related crimes, sexting, and online technology related crimes.
Our multilingual staff have experience of working with individuals and groups from different religious and cultural backgrounds, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBT – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender community.
Those who provide our services are professional highly qualified, and experienced individuals who are supervised over by Dr. Patrick Tierney who is an international specialist in Juvenile Justice and Behavioural Interventions who has successfully worked, lectured, and undertakes research, in the UK, Europe, North America and Latin America.
Empowered Futures (Kent) Project
This project is funded by the Victims Specialist Service Fund through the Office of the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner.
The project will provide victims with:
- Improved Health and Wellbeing
- Reintegration, Stability, Resilience and Autonomy
- Increased Safety, Security, and Dignity
- Provision of Advice of Rights and Access
- Improved experience of the Criminal Justice System
The project will offer outreach support across Kent and Medway
- North Kent – Dartford / Welling Area
- West Kent – Maidstone Area
- South Kent – Ashford Area
- East Kent – Thanet / Margate Area
